Friday, FINALLY!!

Well, we've all been battling the bugs. Lenny and I ended up going back in to each of our Dr.'s offices and getting put on stronger antibiotics. I ended up taking Hadley in on Tuesday, even though she wasn't terrible, I wanted to be cautious. One for the record books....mommy and daddy felt worse than Hadley for once!!!

Not too much going on this week. Hadley has figured out how to get out of her exersaucer, which stinks!! Its a good way to corrall her when I need to get ready in the AM, or when Lenny takes the dogs out on a leash in the yard for their duty. We're trying to get grass to regrow....a whole 'nother story. The bathroom upstairs has everything child proofed, but now its time for the downstairs bathroom to get locked up!!

Hopefully by the weekend we will have recovered and can use the bike trailer sooner, the Radio Flyer, or just play in the yard!!

Getting Back to Blogging

Well, my cousin started a blog on eblogger, so I thought I'd get back in the groove or I'll never hear the end of it. Hadley is 17 mos. old and still has MSPI, Lenny has had a chage in employment, and I'm still at the Credit Union.

It was a long winter once again, as far as viruses go. Seems like each week she had a virus, which meant the MSPI rash came out, feeding issues, and not sleeping well. Unfortunately for Hadley (and us) she hasn't outgrow MSPI at the (average) age of 1yr. I prayed for her first birthday which was marked with a stomache virus-delaying her party. The last month or so was actually pretty much virus free, until now.

Seems like the only time I have to blog is when we are sick, like now. Lenny had a sinus infection, Hadley had pink eye Tuesday, now I've got strep throat. Hence we have crankiness abounding in our household right now.

Hadley has five more teeth coming in, so that hasn't helped. She hates the eye drops, which are thank goodness done today.

On a different note, she is getting more mobile. As with all her motor skills she is a bit delayed in walking. She would win a crawling race though. She is one fast girl!! She just starting walking with push toys and some assistance from us. She used to collapse to her knees if propped up to a push toy, or if we tried to walk with her. The other trick was to throw her legs up in the air. I've had to learn that Hadley does things in her time. I can't pay attention to timetables set in place or it makes me crazy.

It amazes me how smart she is. She knows....she had us fooled for a while. She's experiencing time outs, with one at the Dr.'s office yesterday!! She does really well. I was hesitant to start them, thinking she was too young, but she sits there and pouts until her minute is up. We pick our battles. I don't want to stick her in a corner for every little thing. She has mostly had time outs for biting.
She finds great joy in taking her hats and coats on and off. It is a big game. Even if its 70 degrees out she'll want her coat on and off.

Well, I'd better sign off. I hear "mama" being called on the mintor as I type. Hopefully we will be well soon. I'm so bummed to miss the great weather outside today!!
