Father's Day

We had a really nice day. We went to breakfast, ran some errands, and then went to John and Caralees to celebrate Father's Day and Joelle's birthday. Hadley had a blast on their swingset. She absolutely loved the slide. She was hesitant at first to let go and slide on her own, but by the time we left that night she was ready to slide down as soon as she sat at the top. She even went down head first!! Of course, we were there to catch her. Some time this week I'm gonna bring home a small slide that John and Caralee are passing on to us. Hadley really likes to play outside so we're looking forward to it.

We are still having biting issues. Daycare built some more bookshelves that split the play area up. It appears as though Hadley bites the younger two out of jealousy and 2 older kids that won't play with her. Otherwise she's fine with those that will play with her. She continues to receive time outs and will hopefully get past this phase soon. Thank goodness daycare has been so understanding, as well as the parents. At a daycare center we would have been kicked out weeks ago!

Hadley (sort of) started her milk challenge. I'm waiting to hear back on the rest of our instructions, which we should have gotten last Friday. So far so good, but she's only getting a tablespoon of Vitamin D in each of her sippy cups. She gets four cups a day.

Mother's Day

It has been a couple weeks, but we had a FABULOUS Mother's Day Weekend!! The weather was great and I didn't have to do a thing except spend time with my family. I didn't have to work that Saturday so we went out to see my parents while they camped. Before we went out there Lenny and Hadley gave me my mother's day gift-new Nike tennis shoes. I LOVE them. Lenny noticed I'd been out to Nike.com looking at tennis shoes. He's such a good husband......That Sunday we went to church and then I hung out with Hadley all day long. Lenny did yard work and planted flowers for me in the back and front. It was one of those days that you want to stop and take a moment to capture in your mind forever.

The following weekend Hadley was sick, once again. She is just finishing up an antibiotic. I'm hoping we can pass a milk challenge soon, but I'm afraid it doesn't look good. She'd been have rice cereal for the last couple weeks at daycare. I kind of noticed her viral rashes were worse at night but I wasn't sure if it was from the cereal of being sick, but they've also coincided. Friday I asked Ms. Judy not to give her cereal and she was much more enjoyable. Until I talk to GI again, I'm going to halt the rice cereal. Even though she tolerates her rice milk I think the rice powder in cereal must be harder to break down.

We had a busy weekend once again. Yesterday we had a graduation party during the day and Emily's (Ms. Judy's daughter) 16th birthday party last night. They had a carnival sized bouncy house set up. I got in there with Hadley and she sat and bounced with the other kids. She had a good time as long as I was in there with her. Today we're hoping to get to the Santa Lucia festival to hunt down some spaghetti. I read the Caniglia's were providing the sauce this weekend. Anyone who knows us, knows we miss the old Caniglia's restaurant.
